I’m so excited that you’ve joined me here!  This is my home, and it’s doors are wide open to you.  I hope that this becomes a place where you come to learn a little bit more about yourself, your world, and your body.  To find inspiration, motivation, love, and never ending ‘aha’ moments.

I like to refer to myself as a body, heart & soul nutritionist.  This means that I believe nutrition is way more than calories, macro and micronutrients, and fat and protein grams.  Nutrition is a way to ignite your body, your heart, and your soul.  And in turn, when we learn how to communicate with our body, heart, and soul, this can ignite our lives in a way unimagined.  Our bodies contain within them all the wisdom we will ever need, we just need to learn how to tune-in.

I have an insatiable curiosity for all things body, mind, and travel. I have spent the past 7 years galavanting around the US and all over the world, and the past 14 years deeply immersed in the fitness, nutrition, and holistic health professional field.  From this, I have experienced that each interaction, each exchanged smile, each contact with a new environment is an opportunity to expand and deepen our own sense of who we are and what we (and our world) need to thrive;  our vibration shifts.  And when we shift our vibration to that of a high-vibe state, we attract more high-vibe people and situations to us.  The same applies for the foods we eat, the thoughts we think, and the actions we take.

High vibe food = a high-vibe body = a high-vibe life.  And when we are living our lives in this high-vibe state, we send out that positive feel-good vibe to our friends and families, our communities, and ultimately, out into the world.  When we give love to and transform our bodies, our lives, and ourselves, we in turn give love to and transform the world.

I believe that we don’t need to learn about nutrition as much as we need to learn about ourselves.  Having personally experienced 6 years of being debilitatingly ill (autoimmune connective tissue disease, mercury toxicity, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, leaky gut, candida, gut dysbiosis, parasites, and I could go on…), not only did I learn how to properly heal myself but to live a life more fully ignited than ever before, realizing the limitless potential and power we hold within each of us.

Having worked with hundreds of clients individually and thousands of individuals in larger settings, I have used these experiences and the knowledge gained from them to develop my programs and my philosophy: Nourish —> Cleanse —> Ignite.

I hold a Dual Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition as well as advanced training in Functional Medicine, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, Metabolic Typing, Personal Training, Pilates, Yoga, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Touch for Health Kinesiology, and more.

3 Non-Food Ways to Brighten your Glow While you Travel

  In my previous newsletter I talked about how to keep your glow while you travel by doing a few simple pre-travel ‘rituals’. If you missed it, be sure to click here to check it out. Today, I’m going to give you a few tips to use while you’re traveling to help keep your light brightly shining. And, none of these tips involve changing or altering the food that you eat! So let’s dive right in. Travel can be exhilarating, mind-expanding, and freeing, but it can also destroy us mentally, physically, and emotionally. Especially if we’re not properly prepared or don’t take some necessary self-care while on the road. Because it’s not always possible to eat ‘perfectly’ while on the road (although there are ways, which I’ll share with you in the next newsletter), below I have listed some tips that anyone can do anywhere. The stronger your body is physically and energetically, the better your body is able to withstand a not-so-perfect diet. Here are a few of my top non-food-related travel tips: 1. Unplug and disconnect: this one is super important. It protects your energetic body (which you will learn in upcoming newsletters plays a huge role in the glow that we radiate) and your physical and mental body. Look around your hotel room (or the room you are in right now). How many things are there that are plugged in? Make sure to unplug microwaves, alarm clocks, and any other items that you won’t be needing…especially those that are close to you and your bed. Also make sure to shut off all electronics (computers, e-readers, etc.)...

Does Travel Dim Your Glow? Try This…

In the last several emails (here and here) we’ve talked a lot about igniting your personal power. Personal power is key to igniting your life and your body. If you’ve witnessed someone who was fully and authentically in their power (I’ll define what this word, ‘power,’ really means in a future newsletter) you’ve probably been drawn to them like a magnet and you weren’t sure why. Perhaps it was the way they carried and presented themselves, but most likely, it was a glow they emitted. A glow that might even be beyond what we can see with the physical eye. Yes, we can ‘see’ it, but we can also feel it. It’s magnetic. This, my friends, is the power of increasing your vibration (your positive vibes), a.k.a, your personal power! In my last newsletter, we talked about three different ways you can use food to ignite your personal power, or what I like to call your magnetic glow. And, as it seems all-to-appropriate, in today’s newsletter will be talking about how to keep your glow afire while traveling. If you’ve notice anything about me, it’s probably that I’m quite a free-bird, if you will. I travel often, and I can’t seem to stop. Every time I think the travel has slowed indefinitely, I’m swept away again. It’s the life of a 5 (a number that’s associated with change, growth, experience, movement, and travel, and one that’s found an uncharacteristically high amount in my numerology life design chart…go figure). But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I even wrote a paper in my creative writing class in high school...
